Please include any information that you'd like to share with us about your T-shirt Quilt such as the function of the quilt, and/or the recipient, etc. This can be as open-ended as you'd like. Feel free to ask any questions you have. We'll use this information to best help you when we reply by email.
Let's get this project started!
* Quilts enter our work queue in the order in which we actually receive them
My t-shirts are ready to ship!
T-Shirt Quilt Pricing Disclaimer:
*
Our handcrafted T-shirt quilts are priced at $40* and include ALL of the following:
High-quality quilting cottons for the backing, borders & binding (MODA Fabrics/Grunge Collection)
High-quality batting (examples include Quilters Dream and Hobbs Heirloom)
Digital light to moderate density Edge-Edge (E2E) quilting with high-quality threads (examples include Glide, Magna-Glide & PremoSoft by Fil-Tec; King Tut, So Fine & Bottom Line by Superior)
We're also happy to pick up your t-shirts and deliver your finished quilt to you if you live in the greater Williamstown, MA, and Berkshire County area.
Pricing example: A quilt made from 20 to 30 t-shirts would cost $800-$1,200 (20-30 x $40 = $800-$1,200 + shipping)
Note: * Pricing listed is for Adult-size shirts. Child/Youth Shirts are generally priced so that 2 Youth Shirts = 1 Adult Shirt*
Keep in mind, it is often the case that several different graphics can be cut from a single t-shirt/sweatshirt, providing "extra" blocks that can be utilized in your quilt, including solid fabric from the sleeves and backs, which can be used (if necessary) to "fill in" the overall design/composition.*
*Note: If the number of t-shirts submitted is significantly insufficient to achieve the requested quilt size, LGQ may charge an additional fee based on the quantity of "extra" cutting and piecing of the available t-shirts received to achieve the requested quilt size.
The charge per t-shirt does not include any borders around the sides of the quilt. Borders for a quilt with 20-30 t-shirts would likely add $175-$250 to the labor and materials cost.
How many t-shirts are needed to achieve the quilt size you want? Here are some general guidelines and approximate sizes for T-shirts/Sweatshirts with only ONE graphic available per shirt:
#15-20 for a Lap-size (48x48)
#18-25 for a Large Lap-size (52x64)
#20-30 for a Multi Use-size (60x72)
#30-40 for a Twin-size (60x84)
#40-50 for a Full-size (84x92)
#50-60 for a Queen-size (92x100)
#60-70 for a King-size (100x112)
I have read and agree with the T-Shirt Pricing Disclaimer

Optional Borders
Do you wish to add 2" and/or 4" solid fabric borders around the entire perimeter of your quilt?
Note: Adding borders will definitely change the overall desired dimensions of your t-quilt, and the extra labor involved will likely add another $150 to 200+ to the cost of your masterpiece. However, coordinating borders might just be EXACTLY what's needed to pull your masterful composition together, and we are happy to discuss with you in more detail--once we agree on the best layout for your quilt top, and before the piecing begins :-)
I do not want borders added to my t-shirt quilt
I think I want these border things, but I'm not sure—let's discuss :-)
Borders are my jam and I want them, all of them. Yes, yes I do!
Date
Our turnaround times are always in flux, but generally speaking, we can often accommodate a 4-6 week turnaround time. Is there a specific date by which you need the completed t-shirt quilt shipped?
Leave this space blank if there is no deadline.
Note: For T-shirt quilts intended to be a gift, we are happy to ship directly to your lucky (and clearly much-beloved) recipient!

We use USPS Priority shipping to return quilts, if not arranging pick up locally. It comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number. Please indicate below if you would like us to purchase additional insurance on your behalf (added to the invoice when work is complete). It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the US Postal Service, but we don't require it.
Note: Approximately $15-$50 (or possibly more for King-sized TSQs, depending on box size needed) will be added to your invoice for return shipping fees. (International rates will apply.)
Not applicable (arrangements made locally)
Do not add additional insurance.
I'm not sure—ask me when my quilt is finished.

$300 of insurance for $5.05
$400 of insurance $6.40
$500 of insurance for $7.65

Photography
Upon completion of quilting, we will take professional-quality photos of your quilt in our well-lit studio, and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. We just ask that you credit us for the photo and/or the longarm quilting work if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your price per square inch pricing.
May we share pictures of your creation on social media?
Yes, I do give my permission for Little Gilly quilts to share photos of my quilt on social media pages.
No, I do not give my permission.
Shipping Your T-Shirts
We live in Massachusetts, USA, and would be happy to receive your t-shirts by mail. We recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or plastic bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a sturdy cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Wash your T-shirts. If there is a part of your T-shirt that you DO NOT want to be used, "X" if out with blue painter's masking tape. We will use everything that is not X'd out. Please do not X out blank parts of your T-shirts. We will only be cutting out the design or graphic on your T-shirts.
Please only box a design with painter's tape when you want to use a small part of a larger design. If there is only a little of the design you do want to be used, box the part you DO want to be used with masking tape.
If you think you don't have enough T-shirts to make the quilt size you would like, indicate in the message section to "Cut Big." This means that we can always cut the blocks smaller.
Normally we do not do anything about stains on your T-shirts. Stains are a part of your story. But if there is a stain that you don't want in the quilt, mark that area with blue painter's masking tape.
Please only use blue painter's masking tape. Other types are stickier and may leave an unpleasant residue on your T-shirts.
Please email us once you've mailed your T-shirts. Please include your contact information when you ship your T-shirts, and inform us of any questions or special instructions. We will contact you once we receive your t-shirts and will inform you of any questions we may have.
I live in the greater Williamstown/Berkshire County area and would be happy to meet you to drop off t-shirts.
I will mail my T-shirts to you.
T-Shirt Quilt Workshop Opportunity
*
Come and learn how to make a quilt! In-person 2-day T-Shirt Quilt (TSQ) Workshops where we teach you how to CUT your t-shirts into "blocks," PUZZLE them into a pleasing layout, then help you SEW them together to create your one-of-kind handcrafted quilt top. No experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome! Sewing machines and necessary cutting equipment & TSQ block templates are supplied. You simply need to bring your t-shirts, sweatshirts, sports jerseys, and a cheerful attitude with you to the workshop. That’s it! Easy peasy!
Participants may work together in groups of 2 (maximum) per TSQ. Following the 2-day weekend workshop, your TSQ top will be ready for loading onto our Bernina Q24 Longarm machine for quilting (you choose the design!) and priced at $0.035 Per Square Inch—which is easily determined by multiplying the Width x Length of your finished TSQ top. All other TSQ finishing services are provided at an additional cost, including costs associated with backing & binding fabrics, batting, binding services, and a custom machine-embroidered label (optional).
Check the Workshops tab for all 2024 TSQ Workshop dates. A $150* deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your dates.
2024 Pricing:
Quilt Guild Members = $150
Non-Guild Members = $300
*Deposit is fully refundable if notice of cancellation occurs within two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled workshop booked.
We're also happy to deliver your finished quilt to you if you live in the greater Williamstown and Berkshire County area of Massachusetts. Otherwise, standard shipping rates apply.
Yes! I would love to experience the art & science of quilt making! Sign me up for a workshop pronto!
No, thanks. Needles and pins and rotary cutters make me queasy. You can make the quilt for me!
I'm not sure? Please have a Quilt Whisperer talk me into this :-)
